I´s funny, all people that talk more or less directly in contrary of to respect the author rights and beg for "Internet freedom", none of them have own author rights to defend.
Is very easy to be socialist with the property or rights of others.
In contrary of your opinion, I really think that a systematic intimidation, prosecution and punishment to the fans that violate the author rights is the right way for to eliminate piracy.
And also the ISP providers and the web sites that publish links to unauthorized downloads should be prosecuted and punished.
Is perfectly possible to live without violating the author rights of other people like it is perfectly possible to live without killing people, selling drugs or robbing malls.
Also is perfectly possible to live without facebook, twiter or chat.
And more, the life of a person does not depend on to have or not access to Internet.
The main problem is that many people don´t know what to do if they don´t have Internet, it acts like a drug, a modern version of the opium.
Years ago was the TV, now is Internet.
Big Brother continue monitoring.
