Workshops and presentations
May 7th, 2008 by Molly
This is an experiment where I share the slides and handouts from presentations I’ve taught. I’m trying out Slideshare. Feedback is welcome.
As I add them, each workshop will embedded in its own page. I’m doing it this way to help with load time, since Slideshare seems to slow things down a lot.
- Creative Commons for Librarians: This staff development workshop was taught at the University of Michigan Library in January 2008. It provides an introduction to Creative Commons, including links to websites where users can find Creative Commons-licensed works
- Open Access for Subject Specialist Librarians: This presentation about open access was given to subject specialist librarians at the University of Michigan on June 9th, 2008. It provides an introduction to open access, describes the various controversies surrounding open access, and offers strategies for faculty and librarians interested in improving access to scholarly work.
