About me

Molly Kleinman serves as the Managing Director of the Science, Technology, and Public Policy program at the University of Michigan's Ford School of Public Policy. In this role, she oversees and provides strategic direction for STPP's educational, research, and community and policy engagement initiatives, and has co-authored reports on equitable community partnerships, generative AI, facial recognition, and vaccine hesitancy. She also has an interest in urban and transportation policy; she is a past chair of the Ann Arbor Transportation Commission, and current president of the Ann Arbor District Library Board of Trustees. Dr. Kleinman received her Ph.D. in Higher Education Policy from the University of Michigan Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education, her M.S. in Information from the University of Michigan School of Information, and her B.A. in English from Bryn Mawr College.
